Abstract:
This study examines the effectiveness of performance measurement frameworks in Lagos State, Nigeria. The objectives are to: (1) evaluate how performance measurement frameworks enhance organizational performance, (2) assess their impact on employee motivation and productivity, and (3) analyze the challenges of implementing effective performance measurement frameworks. A survey design was chosen to gather data from human resource managers and employees. The sample size, calculated using Taro Yamane's formula, ensures representativeness. Zenith Bank Plc was selected as the case study due to its comprehensive performance measurement systems. The reliability coefficient score of the survey was 0.91. Findings indicate that performance measurement frameworks significantly enhance organizational performance, employee motivation, and productivity. However, challenges such as metric selection and implementation complexity were identified. It is recommended that companies in Lagos State adopt balanced performance measurement frameworks and provide continuous training to maximize their effectiveness.
